89 EXT. TORCHWOOD HOUSE - NIGHT
NINJA MONKS watch in awe as the wolf-ghost rises through the roof of the building, one last howl as it evaporates into the night sky.
Then, darkness. Quiet. It's over.
The NINJA MONKS exchange glances, shrugs. Some kick their feet as they sod off home.
CUT TO:
Could you possibly be suggesting that some plot strands were left unresolved last night?!
ReplyDeleteNot unresolved, unspoken.
ReplyDeleteAlso omitted: Some explanation -- any explanation at all, in fact -- of how a community of apparently Catholic monks in Scotland came to be expert in kung fu. Did they have an exchange programme with Shaolin or something?
ReplyDeleteI think what happened to the monks, and how they know knug fu, is in the same category of plot element as how and when the TARDIS crew go to the loo...
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, it never even occurred to me until other people mentioned it. Must say a lot about how closely I watch television!
ReplyDeletePhil: "Did they have an exchange programme with Shaolin or something?"
ReplyDeleteMail order, most likely. The Victorian postal system was really very remarkable. I have a book on Henry Cole and everything.
Giacomo: "...the same category of plot element as how and when the TARDIS crew go to the loo..."
I'd always assumed the TARDIS has toilet facilities. With roundels on the walls.
